From vision to reality, my property development journey
Timeline
2017
A prestigious Highgate Hill site is bought for future development plans. This purchase coincides with the early planning stages of a glamorous nine apartment residential complex at Mt Gravatt East.
2017
Situated in New Farm, one of Brisbane’s premier inner-city suburbs, I begin work on a project within a site context of character. The development will ultimately include two opulent homes.
2016
The development of a world-class residential site in Morningside called The Hendrick begins. Valued at $6.6 million, the project will include thirteen elegant apartments upon completion.
2016
Development approval from the Brisbane City Council is granted at Gordon Parade, Mt Gravatt. Set to feature seven luxury apartments, this residential complex is scheduled for completion in 2019.
2012
Planning begins for a residential project called Ivy on McCord in Gordon Park, five kilometres from Brisbane’s central business district. Featuring eight apartments the project is worth $4 million.
2008
I take over as the Lead Civil Designer in the final stages of creating The Ecovillage at Currumbin. Situated on 270 acres, the project won The World’s Best Environmental Development.
2006
After graduating from my undergraduate course, I commenced my postgraduate degree in Urban Design and Planning which I completed in the allocated time with high distinction honours.
1999
I began my Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree at the internationally renowned Queensland University of Technology whilst gaining experience working part-time for engineering firms.
1989
Even as a child my passion for property is obvious as I spend time sketching property on the back of receipts and napkins whilst helping out at my family's Chinese restaurant in Brisbane.
